What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
Receiving this money means that Give Directly has really thought about my well being since I am unable to afford some needs. I am living in my compound I am therefore planning on buying a piece of land in Bududa town council at $815 buy construction materials at $543, I shall also use $136 to pay workers for labour in constructionof the house. I shall use 136$ to pay medical expenses for my child . I also plan on starting up an onion business at $272 because the trading center is near thus will be able to sell them without incurring transport costs
What is the happiest part of your day?
I planted onions in August 2022, I am lucky because unlike other farmers my onions didn't dry. I now have hope that I shall harvest them in February. This has always made me smile because I plan on selling the harvested onions St $109 and use the money to buy a calf
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My wife gave birth to a premature baby at 7 months he was incubated for 3 weeks but due to lack of money we brought him back home and bought cotton to maintain his temperature. At 10 months he started becoming sickly, the doctors said he was suffering from a stomach disease which I failed to understand. I am still worried that even though he is now one year and 5 months he cries oftenly, doesn't walk and has been having diarrhoea since January 10th which has so hard for me as I am always worried about him
