What did you spend your first transfer on?
I received my first transfer when my 2 children had been sent home for school fees and therefore the first thing that I did was to clear the balances with 1000 KES and spent the rest on food. This plummeted the level of stress in my life; I could eat well and at the same time keep my children in school.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money from Give Directly, I felt relieved and decompressed. Even my children became very excited since they knew that they would stay longer in school. Before then, they could be desperate because most of the time, they were on the road sent home for school fees while the rest could be in class learning.
