I feel proud of my self to have been able to establish another source of income.

I am now more happier because with the transfers I have been receiving for the last four months, part of it have been going to savings which enabled me to purchase potato seeds for planting. Potatoes usually fetch a higher price in the market and that is the reason I thought of preparing the seeds earlier enough so that I plant it immediately I harvest the maize currently in the farm. This will really boost my income four months later when they will be ready for harvesting

I believe my life will have changed in the next six months because I will have abundant harvest from my farm. The money I will generate will enable me to purchase some furniture for my new house. How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Four months ago, it was very difficult for me to buy food. It has been dry season and getting food for the family proved to be a hard nut to crack. These would force me to borrow hence creating unnecessary debt. It is from such situations that would push one into criminal activities that are not acceptable within society. Currently, I am glad to say that I have been able to maintain the situation. Comfortably, I am able to provide for my family and therefore we are living in peace with all the family members. I no longer borrow from the shop and this has really given me peace of mind.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Yes. My new goal in life for the next four months is to ensure that I take subsistence farming more seriously. Currently, the price of potato farming is so promising and this is the next goal I want to achieve.

The biggest difference in my daily life is owning sheep. I did not imagine that at some point in life I will have sheep that I claim ownership. Ideally, sheep gives birth very fast and within a short time, I will have a fleet of them. It is both satisfying to see them in the compound as well as giving hope that with them is an invisible investment.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have fully engaged in potato farming. I already have a piece of land ready for this activity. It is an activity that I hope will change my life since the business in this sector is currently booming. My plan is also to sell sheep and have my next step -to buy a young cow and I hope to have accomplished this by the end of the six months.
