Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next few days, I would have harvested the cabbages which I got to plant with part of the transfers which I received from Give Directly. Next month, I would also receive the savings which I have been saving through merry-go-round. These together with the money which I will get from selling cabbages, I will put together with my next transfers and spend it to buy a dairy cow. I thought of adding one cow to my stock so that when it calves down I would have milk for sale and this would add me more income for supporting my children in school and also gives me financial freedom as a woman.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I am a farmer and majorly I rear dairy cows and grow short term crops which include tomatoes and cabbages. These crops require close attention and proper farm practice. Before I wouldn't get much profit from it as I would miss to carry out some farm practice on time. This include weeding and spraying. The main challenge was funds as I would prioritize on other responsibilities like paying school fees for my children whenever I got some money. For the last four months, I haven't been worried about how to raise money for buying chemicals for sprayings as I would buy the chemicals and store. I no longer got a loss due to disease attack like blight as I got to spray my crops on time. Now I got some cabbages which are doing so well with none suffering from the attack and this is my joy as a farmer. I am anticipating a huge income when I got to harvest the crop in a few days to come. Being able to manage my crops well is the greatest achievement which I got in the last four months as I result of Give Directly transfer.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I believe I would have bought a dairy cow and this would be the greatest achievement of my own. I believe that when I got more cows, I will have more milk for sale and this would earn us more income for supporting our children in school.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different in that I now have enough food for the family whole year round. Due to the improved farming practices that we have been able to practice as an household, we have been lucky to have enough food supply in our household and even get the surplus for selling which has enabled us meet other pending family needs. Life has generally been sweeter than it was four months a go for us.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goal over the next four months is to buy an one other dairy cow This, I plan to do when I receive money from our monthly merry go round which will happen in August. I have felt the support from dairy farming and I am looking forward to having an additional dairy cow. This shall definitely bring more income to me which shall be used to pay school fees and meet other family's basic needs. I am looking forward to making this happen.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I have been able to improve my horticultural farming. I have been able to do this by being able to buy hybrid seeds that are drought resistant and the ability to apply pesticides to my crops in the farm. This has been made possible owing to the fact that I have been able to save money from my dairy farming something I could not do before I started receiving these transfers. This has therefore resulted in more farm produce which has led to increased profits from farming. The profits have greatly improved our living standards as a family and we are so grateful for the transfers.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months I expect my life to change in that I will have more income from both horticultural farming and dairy farming and the increase in income shall definitely provide us with enough money to pay school fees and meet other family needs. We can be assured that our children are going to get the best education free from hindrance of lack of school fees and this shall mean that their future will be secured and we be proud as parents.

The biggest difference in my daily life is the ability to buy farm inputs at any given time. The transfers that come monthly enabled me to buy cabbage and tomatoes seeds.
