How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I don't have any new goals for this last transfer that I just received from the givedirectly program. I have been suffering to send my children to school. I have also been finding it difficult in providing for my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly is doing a great job for me and my family. with a givedirectly transfer, I'm about to my own house. It has not been givedirectly transferred I could have built a zinc house. I'm grateful for this opportunity.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
A huge of my transfer was spent on my daughter's tuition. I even bought my daughter a phone that she is using in school to do some research. I also do a little business that is helping me now. I also bought a few things for the house. I also changed the colour of my house.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I had set a goal earlier when I received my first payment and that goal is to have a new house built. The roof of the house I am currently living in with my family got badly damaged last year by the storm. As seeing, the cracks in the walls were also caused by the storm. When I received my first transfer from GiveDirectly, I thought to buy materials to be used for the construction of my new house. After recieving this transfer, my goal remains the same.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well by leaving us the recipients with the decision how to use our money given us. It also does well by every households in the community. In this way in my mind no deserving household would be left out except where the household refuses to be enrolled into the program. In my opinion, the organization has done nothing wrong that I no of.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Through the first transfer I was able to buy two bundles of zinc, a cartoon of nails, and planks for both the roofing and furniture works on my house. With the most recent transfer received I was able to buy two more bundles of zinc to be added to the first two bundles I bought previously from the first transfer. I was also able to buy eight bags of cement and about fifteen pieces of sylin tile.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Give Directly transfer is something that has always been expectant of me. I was on my way to my farm one morning to do my normal routine, suddenly I heard some of my neighbours talking about their transfers with so much joy. I hurriedly ran to a network place to check mine, I began to smile deep because my long awaited dream has just become a reality! My transfer was being sent, I brust into singing and dancing at the same time.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I was normally seeing things until two years ago when I started experiencing cloudiness in my eyes for which I went for treatment in Harbel and medications were given to me. I took all of the medications but my condition couldn't improve. Since I took the last medications, there's no money nor support to help me get treatment as a result I have lost my right EYE SIGHT which can't permit me to go distant places. Once I'm successfully enrolled and start to receive money transfer from Give Directly, I will use some of the money to seek treatment and the rest will be used to build myself a zinc house before I die.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Hearing that all of my children who are in Monrovia and Grand Bassa County are living with no sickness.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The major challenges am facing has to do with getting myself enough food because of the distance my farm is which my sight can't permit me to go.
