How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
When I received the first money I got to know that Givedirect money is to improve our livelyhood. So when the second money was coming, I made my own plans to fix my house good and how my children school fees will be paid on time
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GD is pretty doing well for me and my family because we were not having it at the time when we started receiving money from Givedirect. The money we received have made most of us to be able to do something good with the money received.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was sitting at my house one morning when I heard people shouting in the town with excitement, I wanted to know what was going on, so I got closer to the people, when I asked, the townchief told me that GiveDirectly has sent the transfers they promised to give us. I went to the network location quickly to check my account, when I got there, I asked the townchief to help me read the message because I am illiterate, when he checked it, he told me that GiveDirectly has sent me money to my mobile money account. When I heard that, I was so happy because I haven't seen such a help before and I really needed money that time to settle some issues.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Paying my son graduation fess has been my main worry because I wanted my son to graduate with his mates so that he can not feel ashame or embarrass, Ireally appreciate GiveDirectly for coming in at the right time because through this transfer I was able to cover up that kind of disgrace to my family. That is the major difference I have seen.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to buy building materials to fix my house because it is not in a good condition anymore, I also paid my son graduation fess which has been one of my main worries, I also bought food for my family.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I planned to pay my children schools fees if I am eligible to receive the transfer. I want them to be educated so they can take affairs of their individual life when we will not be around anymore. I secondly don't want them to be like me. My parents didn't send me to school, and up to now I am still blaming them for not educating me, so I don't want my children to shift the same blame if they are not educated. I also planned to seek better treatment in Monrovia because I am suffering from high blood pressure. The last time that I suffered from it was last month. If I am well, I can work on the farm, and in the end, we will earn cash to meet our basic needs.
What is the happiest part of your day?
One of my sons was in problems and he was later free from the problem 2 months ago and that brought joy to me. Secondly, one of our sons received his clearance for secondary school graduation so it makes me happier. I was happy because they were 2 who were supposed to complete high school this year, because of finance, we were unable to continue with both of them so we decided that one of them dropped so we can be able to to pay the fees for the other one, so getting positive results from him make me so happy. The graduation is scheduled for December 20th, 2021 so we are looking for money to pay his requirements for graduation.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My main challenge now is financing to do what I want to do. If I am equipped financially, I will send my children to school and also complete my house. Currently, the zinc over the house is leaking whenever rain comes down. My health is also a challenge because if I am healthy, I will gather palm leaves to fix blooms to sell and that will help solve some of the financial difficulty I am currently faced with. Currently, I am suffering from high blood pressure so if I had cash, I would have since gone to the hospital.
