Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The transfer transformed my life. I was very excited when I received my transfer. Since then my life has been full of joy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I live a happy life now than before receiving the money. The transfer brought happiness and joy to me. I have managed to buy iron sheets which I couldn't have managed on my own. I also managed to buy clothes for my children. My children are now looking very nice. I owe it to GD. Honestly I couldn't have managed to do it on my own.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have been desiring to have an iron sheets roof. I used my first transfer to buy 20 iron sheets. I am planning to replace the grass thatched roof with the iron sheets I have bought. I also used MK 55 000 to buy Mattress. My kids had no clothes. I used MK 35 000 to buy clothes for them. The other amount of money was used to repair my bicycle. I have saved part of the money to buy fertilizer.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
This money means alot to me, infact i have been waiting for this time for sometime now. Firstly i intend to put a good roof on my house. The current grass thatched roof leaks and requires maintainance almost every year. I also plan to buy food, clothes and beddings. I fail to do all these on my own because i dont earn much. I am a builder and to secure a contract to build a house is not easy as there are more builders against fixed number of clients. The average income i get is MK150, 000 per year.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Individually i did not have any hapiness moments at my household this hear. But around here people have been celebrating Eid and other cultural ceremonies.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My challenge currently is to find money to buy food for my household consistently.
