What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer in completing my house. My former house was old, leaking and uncomfortable. I also bought household items that I was missing and chickens which I am now rearing chicken for household meals and sale.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My house was in a very bad condition and now I am very comfortable in my new house. I do not need to worry about my house when its raining and I am away.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I think GD should add us more money so that our lives can improve further.

I spent my second cash transfer on buying 19 pieces of iron sheet 10,450 KES, nails 2,900 KES, Fischer board 2,500 KES, roofing poles 12,000 KES, pillar poles 10,080 KES, transport 3,000 KES and paid workers 8,000 KES.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I'm building a new house so I will never be rained on during heavy rain storms.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on new iron sheets so that I can replace the old and rusty ones from the roof of my house. My husband died forty years ago and left me in the house that I currently live in, and it's now too old.

The achievement I am proudest of is fending for myself and my children since the death of my husband forty years ago.

The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is is going hungry because I don't have enough food in the house and no money to buy any.

The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I have finished my chores in the house and I'm getting ready to retire to bed for the night.
