What did you spend your third transfer on?
I received my third transfer when my son who was in a secondary school had been sent home for school fees and I was worried where to get money to take him back to school and therefore when the money landed on my phone, it was just a blessing to me-I took the boy back to school.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Generally, I can talk of improved living standard in my household; first, I have managed to enroll my son in a good secondary school and I am glad he is getting the right education, besides, I have hopes in life. I thought I would live in a rental house for the rest of my life but when I got this money, I acquired all building materials and very soon I will be moving to my own home. This is how my life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what Give Directly does well is that it sends us money directly and this has curbed issues of corruption. However, it would be prudent if it may consider increasing the amount of money it gives since the economy has changed since we were given a 1000 Us dollars.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second cash transfer on paying rent for the house currently I'm staying in, bought iron sheets because I'm preparing to start building my house. After which, I can channel the amount I'm spending on rent to children's school fees. I have also deposited part of that money in an account for my daughter's school fees for next year.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have paid for my daughter school fees and her learning process was not disrupted this term.

I am planning to spend my transfer on reviving my charcoal selling business which I used to do before, but is now down. I am also planning to spend my transfer on college fees for my son, who has completed high school, but is yet to join any college due to lack of money.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I am proudest of is educating my son all the way from class one up to form four, using money from my business of selling charcoal.

The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is lack of money and food. The business I do is not doing very well, and sometimes I have to suspend it for a while.
