How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Life would have been very different had I never received the transfers. I would not have manage to find money to buy the piece of land which I bought. I am very happy now that I have the land as I know that I now have a place to build a house which is my future. I am very thankful for your financial support.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly do well by offering the social cash transfers directly to the me as the recipient and not through other people like chiefs who would have involved corruption malpractices when giving the transfers. Give Directly also do well by giving me the transfers in good time as well as by giving large amounts of money at once for me to be able to do something big like buying a piece of land. In my opinion, there is nothing GiveDirectly does not do well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I am planning to use my second transfer to pay for the piece of land I bought. After receiving the first transfers, I negotiated for a piece of land which was going at k550,000 and I managed to pay k300,000 with the balance of k250,000 to be finalised once I get the second transfers. Now that I have received the transfers, I want to pay for the balance so that I be the owner of the land.
