I spent a larger portion of my second transfer on constructing a fishing boat for income because I didn't have any source of income. I bought 15 pieces of iron sheets thta I'll use for building because I don't a house and I'm currently staying in a rental hose. I bought maize for consumption and saved 7000 KES to be used in paying my sibling's school fee.

The biggest difference in my daily life is having a source of income because I now own a fishing boat thus I'm now independent.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on paying rent arrears that I owed my landlord since he had threatened to kick me out of the house if I failed to settle the debt. I also purchased a sofa set to furnish my house which initially had just a stool. It forced my visitors, including the GD staff to sit on the stool in shifts, that was one officer at a time.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I received my transfer, I felt very happy because I would accomplish the desire I had for owning nice sofa sets. I am now happy that I no longer feel the shame of requesting my visitors to either stand or sit on the floor once the only stool is occupied.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is that I find it hard to cater for my children's education as they are sent home frequently because of school fees. Additionally, fending for my family is really hard that at times we go without food due to my merger income.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when have fended for my family and we eat together.
