What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I'm facing now is money. I want to build a house for my family and I which had been my plan but I don't have money. Even though I'm engaged in farming activities as means to maintain my family, the money I earn from the pineapple farm is not enough to build a house at the same time pay the children's tuition and feed the home. The house my family and I live in is my father's place and we are many from the same father but different mothers, everyone has right over the house and I can't depend on it fully as my own, I want to build a house for my children when I'm no more they can have total control over it. I will appreciate any help from GiveDirectly to improve my life.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months, what has brought me joy or happiness is when my daughter took double promotion from grade 4th to grade 6th in April 2022. Seeing my daughter getting double promotion does not only make me happy but it brought so much proud to me as a mother.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
"If I'm successful to receive money from GiveDirectly, I will build my house and support my children in school. My husband and I are engaged in farming activities for the past fifteen years now as means to maintain the family. The money we earn from the farm proceeds, we use to pay our children's tuition and use the balance on food and medication. The house my family and I live in is my father's place and we are many from the same father but different mothers, everyone has right over the house and I can't depend on it fully as my own, I want to build a house for my children when I'm no more they can have total control over it.
