How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have new goals, I planned to use the last transfer to invest in my Cocoa farm.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I am so excited that Givedirectly came to my community, it has been a worry for me where to get money from to build a house and make a farm but through givedirectly transfer, I can build a house and make a farm, and am grateful to givedirectly. I have not seen any bad about the givedirectly program, I wish this program was here to stay.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought three thousand cocoa from the nursery to plant on the farm, paid labourers to plant the cocoa and also used some of the money to buy food for the workers on the farm.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have no new plans for this transfer, I would like to complete my previous plan by building a house, because where I live currently is my brother's place, and I want to have my own house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
As for me the thing Givedirectly does it satisfy me because since I came to this village things were not easy for me; no job but since I started receiving this transfer things have improved for me. Now am trying to build my own house. Givedirectly has not done anything bad in our community that I heard of, they have been so good to us.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
97 pieces of planks, paid labour cost for the chainsaw operator and purchased foodstuff for the house.

GiveDirectly is doing well everything well and i don't think they have erred in any way in my opinion.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
When i cash out my second transfer, I intend to purchase zinc and other building materials for the construction of my new house.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was preparing to go in the bush where am cultivating my rice farm and i noticed that GD text came on my phone. when I saw the money, i shouted my wife's name to come see what I've seen and we both started rejoicing and praising God for what he has done through GiveDirectly for us. We danced for minutes and our neighbours joined us to celebrate.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that my physical works have immensely reduced because I now pay contractors to brush under my cocoa farm and alao do the hard labour work on my rice farm. I am not doing all these hard works like before because GiveDirectly has empowered me financially. I feel vwry happy everyday and i am thankful to GiveDirectly family.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought one buddle of zinc and the half, I also bought food and paid contractors for the maintenance of my cocoa farm.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My wife and I have been in my brother's house for about 3 years now because I have not been able to raise money for us to build our own house. Living in a family house with your wife and children is so embarrassing. There are some restrictions that are currently governing the house that is affecting my wife and I but we don't have anywhere to go for now. So, we have to accept the condition and live with it. If my household qualifies for GiveDirectly unconditional cash transfer program, I intend to use the money to start a business for my wife and to also construct a new house for my family and I to move in.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My wife and I were finding it difficult to bring forth a child. I made several attempts to bear a baby by my spouse Beatrice Wilson but all efforts were fruitless. When my wife finally got pregnant and in the end she gave birth safely with a baby boy, it brought so much happiness and joy to me. It has made me to now feel like a man and a father also.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Living in a family house comes with some level of embarrassment and I am even mock at many times because I don't have my own house. Being able to generate money that will be used to construct a new home for my family and I and to also open a business for my woman are the biggest challenges I am currently facing.
