Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy when i received the money. The alter came to my phone around mid day and i quickly rushed to the agent in our village. I was very happy and greatful.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Honestly i am now able to feed my children all three meals of the day. I did not harvest due to pest that eat my maize and i completely ndi not have any food. I have managed to buy food and this is the biggest difference to my daily life.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have a house that i have been living in for over 4 years but had to fix the roof every rainy season. With my transfer i bought 28 iron sheets, timber as well as bricks to install a new roof. I also bought food since i did not harvest anything due to pests.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I so excited to be part of the program. This gives me a chance to renovate my house. I will buy iron sheets, timber and mattress. I will also buy maize.

I am a happy person when I have food.

Money access is a challenge. I don't have a reliable source of income.
