Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I plan to spend the money I receive over the next four months to stock foodstuffs because of the looming lockdown due to the Coronavirus outbreak. I need to get foodstuffs that can last long because the government has announced a social distancing of at least one month with the spread being expected to have been contained.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Gone are the days that I would struggle to even facilitate myself to small trips organized in my village. I have always been left ashamed since I did not have money to pay for fare when such instances come. Currently, I own poultry which is my source of income every time my financial need arises and this has really boosted my self-esteem in the village.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to build a good house. Currently, I live in a mud-walled house which needs to be replaced with a new one and I am hoping to accomplish this in four month's time.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Before the transfers began streaming in on a monthly basis, I had not thought of any idea around poultry keeping. I am currently an expert in this sector since I took much interest in it. As a result, I always had money at my disposal since I usually sell the eggs or chicken depending on my monetary needs. I am also happy now that we even consume eggs from this poultry farming and therefore translated to good health both for me and my family.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
Six months to come, I expect that I would have completed renovating or replacing my mud-walled house to a modern one. My family will live in a comfortable house fitted with good furniture. Its is after this that I will then plan for the next goal that I will work on.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, I have chicken and eggs. Whenever I want quick cash I usually sell either of them and have cash as quick as possible. This was not possible in the last four months since I was not raising them. Also, my mind is now a bit organized and sober enough. I am now buying materials that will help build a bigger house. At least the transfers have given me a sober mind to plan my life better.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, my goal is to buy a goat. Through the merry go round project that is currently ongoing in our villages, my turn is soon coming and I am pretty sure that this goal will be accomplished. I also intend to buy more chicken for the purposes of keeping them.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
When I look back four months ago, my daily life has been a different story. I always see a number of a chicken doing rounds in my compound and giving me the eggs and even earns me income. Previously, I had no capital to start on chicken keeping but with the help from GiveDirectly, I was able to realize my dreams that I have always wished. Compared to before, nowadays when I feel I am faced with a financial crisis, then I turn back and sell eggs or some chicken and settle it.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
Since I do not have a good house, my plan is to have it built in six months time. I am working towards this project and so far I have already bought some materials. The shame of living in one grass thatched house will soon be a thing of the past since GiveDirectly has given me hopes.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Four months ago, my children's life at school was undesirable. They were in old tattered school uniforms that made them a laughing stock among their peers. Ridicule and being made fun off made their life miserable and mine unbearable. I started saving money from the transfers in a merry go round group and recently used it to buy them new uniforms. They are now happier just like the others and this has made their learning a good experience. I also offer them regular meals that have redeemed their health. I am so happy to see them active at school just like the rest of the kids. The changed children's moral in school is what I had always desired. Thank you GiveDirectly for giving me
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I intend to continue to save in my merry go round group in order to use the money in buying roofing materials for building my house. Savings from the cash transfers will help me meet this goal.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
In the last four months, my life has greatly changed because of the livestock I own. I saved money in a merry go round group and then received a total of 6500 a month ago. I then bought two sheep that is an everyday source of hope for financial growth. Sheep multiply very fast. In a few months time to come, I will be having enough that I could easily sell to meet any urgent pressing financial needs. Raising school fees for my children has been the highest problem in priority. I used to wonder every day of how I would be able to meet the need when the time comes for them to join secondary schools. This is no longer a worry and my daily life is more peaceful because I know that I have this investment in sheep. Selling them will sufficiently pay their school fees. I am so grateful that GiveDirectly came to my rescue.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to have changed as I will be living in a nice house. The savings I am keeping in my merry go round group at every cash transfer will be used to buy roofing sheets and build a house. I live in a one-roomed house that doubles up as a kitchen and a living room. Building a new one means that My children will have room to study comfortably and I will have a place where I can freely host visitors.
