How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal is to change the roof of my house from thatched to zinc. We normal experienced lot of difficulties during the time of rain and almost the entire house leaks. This is another will of improving our condition.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Givedirectly is helping to empower we the poor people and they are doing well with their program. The level of transparency and awareness from them is another good reason to say they are doing well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I most spent my recent transfer to purchase zinc and other house materials for the changing of my roof. I bought mattress as well as additional household materials that will help me and my family. This is only possible with the help we have received from Givedirectly which I am greatful.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money will mean a lot to us. We plan on building a better house with zincs roofing and cement because the house we are currently living in is a thatch structure. We experienced leakage whenever it's rain. We get so embarrassed whenever it's rain. That is why I will really appreciate any help to enable me actualize this dream. And if there's any balance, I will use it to start a business and use the profit on our 3 years old son education. This is something I've always wanted to do, but due to the financial constraints, I'm unable to actualize my dream. So receiving this money from Givedirectly will certainly be the best thing that ever happened to me..
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months what has brought me happiness was the day I had people to go to my farm to help me. Because I don't have money or source of income, I had to beg my friends and other people to help me do the brushing of the farm. The day they came to my call to help me, was the greatest thing that happened to me in the last six months because of the level of brushing they did, we have farm of our own.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest challenge I am facing now is lack of a better place for sleeping. The house we are sleeping in is a thatch structure without cemented floor. Whenever it's rain, we experienced leakage that lead to some of our things been damage. I'm unable to do anything about this situation because I don't have a reliable source of income to meet up with our basic need least I talk of building a house. So receiving this money from Givedirectly will mean a lot to me and my family.
