How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has totally improved in that, I bought a motor bike. With this, I operate a boda-boda transport business which makes for me a total income of at least UGX 15000 daily and it's a service to my community. Before, I used to depend on agriculture which was very unreliable due to prolonged drought in some seasons. This usually resulted into famine and suffering.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
According to me, GiveDirectly has improved the lives of the people in the community by giving us unconditional cash transfers. Many of them were able to construct new houses, buy land, livestock and food among others. However, on a personal level, I bought a motor bicycle. On the other hand, everything that the organisation has done is good.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I topped all my second transfer to the first and bought a motor bike.
