How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No, I don't have no new goal. Still carrying on with my previous goals, which is,buy zinc to roof my children house and buy other household materials such as mattress etc.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly is doing very well by giving us money and guiding us on how to use our money wisely. I'm so happy that GiveDirectly reached me and my family. I can praise God everytime I hear the name GiveDirectly, because my children are no longer living in a house with thatch, they now have zinc over their house.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought four(4) bundles of zinc and other building materials to renovate my children house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am a widow and mother of six children who depends on a subsistence farming to survive. In early December 2021, I lost my husband James Farley, which has resulted to our house being uncompleted. The payment of school fees for our children is so difficult to forfill nowadays. I have been thinking to complete my house with the availability of needed resources for said project. I have also been planning to establish a little business to keep my children in school thereby accurately paying their school fees. Having been opportune to receive the unconditional cash transfer from GiveDirectly, I will use 30% of the transfer to complete my house and 20% of the amount to pay my children areal while the balance 50% will be used to establish a business .
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am always happy in the evening hours after struggling in the bush to put food on table for my children. By the evening hours, my children and I most often discuss our family issues and say stories and that can actually bring me a joy and happiness.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I have been finding it so hard to provide the needs for my home after the death of my spouse James Farley , especially to provide food for the children and pay their school fees. They have been threatened on many occasions to be put out of school because my inability to make their school fees payment on time, and this has been my major challenge since my husband passed out a few years ago.
