How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have always been having problems when it comes to My mobility. I could walk long distances to buy food, to go to the farm, but then it was life as it was. My house also was not in good shape, but well it was what we had,and we had to live with it. After I received the money, the new goals were yo buy a bicycle yo ease my movement, And also to have my house properly maintained.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
The fact that it allowed us to spend the money without conditions is something that we have never seen happening in our community. We are Very thankful.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have bought a bicycle to ease my movement to town, the farm and various places. I have Also bought cement, lime, wires, Iron sheets which have been used for the house maintanance.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am so grateful for considering me in this program. As you can see, the roof of my house got carried away because of wind. I have been looking forward to have money so that I can renovate my house. I will also use the money to buy fertilizer, cooking utensils and beddings.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am always happy when I have made more sales in a day. I sell second hand clothes and usually I sell more during market days.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The main challenge I see here is money. I do a small business but the money generated from the business is not enough to support my family.
