Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
i was very happy the moment i received my transfer, i knew that i will have enough food at home and my house will be renovated.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My life has changed since i received the transfer. I used to ask my son for money to buy food, knowing that he also has his personal challenges, sometimes he could not send me the money at all meaning we could stay with hunger or ask from neighbours for some food. he used to send MK10 000 for a period of not less than three month which was very little . When i received my money i bought enough food for the family and now i no longer have to ask my son to send us money for food.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
the moment i received my money i bought food because i did not have food at home and i used to depend on my son from south Africa to send me MK10 000 to buy food. secondly i bought materials for renovating my house since my house was in a very bad state. the remaining amount was used to buy mattress, fertilizer and other basic needs.
