Receiving this money will give me capital to start buying and reselling beans. Ordering in Salima and selling in Mchinji. Profits from that will sort out most of my financial demands and household needs.
What is the happiest part of your day?
There was a day I was coming from business, I bought a live chicken and my wife prepared a very nice meal. My children were very happy to eat nicely like that.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The only challenge I face is lack of a stable source of income. I do small businesses where there's little to no profit and it takes time to produce the commodity. We buy materials from Salima, come weave in the village and then sell the baskets at trading centres. This is a process that takes 2 weeks and makes K25,000 which is about $52 in a month, all things constant.
