What did you spend your third transfer on?
I did spend my final transfer to build my house. This costed me 40,000 KES. I bought cement , iron sheet, nails and sand. I paid my child's school fees 2,000 KES. She was in nursery by then. The remaining balance I spent on household expenses. This transfer has really brought change in my home.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on building a spacious decent two roomed house since the house I was staying in before was a leaky grassed thatched house. I bought four goats, cupboard and a bag of maize for my failmy's consumption. I also paid school fees for my child who is in nursery school.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have managed to build a decent spacious two roomed house which I have been longing for in a long time hence living in a leaky grassed thatched house seems not to be a worry anymore .I am thankful to GiveDirectly.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I used a larger portion of the transfer to buy iron sheets which I'll use to repair my roof because it is heavily leaking. I paid my daughter in primary school fee. I also purchased some foodstuffs for family consumption.

When I received the transfer, I felt very happy. In fact I was over excited.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I have been struggling to feed my family and educate my child because I'm not employed, going deep into the bush to find wood for sale and for making charcoal, I sometimes meet wild animals and poisonous snakes which put my life in danger but still have to go on.
What is the happiest part of your day?
At night. At this time I have less stress, I get comfort and encouragement from my child and husband hence gaining strength to face the following day's challenges.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
The money will put me in a position to start a family business, I'll then use part of profit from the business to pay school fees, buy food and clothes for my family then save the rest for future use.
