How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have food and a good sleeping place. I now have house that I can sleep peaceful and not worry anymore when in the rainy season
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
There is nothing that GiveDirectly did not do well. To me everything went well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used the money to buy a mattress since with my first transfer i did not manage to buy one. I also added some bricks as i did not buy enough brick last time for the house I plan on building. I bought nails and wires for the roofing and paid the builder as well as the carpenter in advance. I was running low on money so I bought 4 bags of maize for food.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
the moment i received the transfer i was very happy knowing that soon am going to start staying in a good house and i will have food on my table.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
i stay in a poorly built grass thatched house, my dream was to find enough money to build a new house but i could not because i did not have a source of income. when i received the money i bought most of the house building materials which i could not afford in the past and am planning to start building the house. Finally i will have a decent house thank you Give Directly. I have also managed to buy alot of food at home as we used to sleep on an empty stomach sometimes and that is history now.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
when i received my money i bought bricks and iron sheets. i have been living in a poorly built and grass thatched house for a long period of time and i had no source of income to build a good house. the remaining portion was used to buy food as i had no food in the house, i also bought fertilizer, blankets and other basic needs.
