What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means safety to me. For a year now, I have been staying under a house that is unsafe to occupy together with my 2 children. The house is so weak. This area being so bare ( without trees), there is a risk of the house falling in case of a windstorm. I intend to use 30,000 KES to build a different house. A house that will have concrete pillars to stand any form of strong winds. I will be the happiest person when I own such kind of a house because the safety of my family will be guaranteed.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am a mother of 2 children. Their wellness is my source of happiness. My children have never fallen sick for almost 5 months now.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Lack of money is the current challenge I am facing. I have been working as a charcoal burner since I got married 3 years ago. This business is no longer lucrative as before due to the unavailability of trees. Before, I could make 2,000 KES per week. Currently, making the 2,000 KES per month is unachievable.
