Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Eeh i can fully remember the moment that i saw the message that i have received money from Givedirectly, this was ome of the happiest moments in my life, to say the truth i have never had a chance like this one with Givedirectly.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
This year was one of the years that we did not harvest enough maize, to take us up to the next growing season so the coming of Givedirectly and getting as enrolled to receive such assistance, it all came at the right moment. At the moment we have enough food for the whole family up to the next harvesting season.

I have bought iron sheets and cement to improve my house, i also have bought bags of maize

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Renovating my house is what receiving this money means to me, my husband built this house for me 2 years ago but because no cement was used it looks very old and its not safe to sleep in it during heavy rains s i would like to buy cement and improve the walls and floor of the house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My son who is 2 years old has brought joy and happiness to my life most of the time i see him happy it brings happiness to my life.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Ever since my husband went to South Africa two years ago my life has not been rhe same he doesn't send money for us to buy food and other basic needs he keep saying life is not easy for him that side so to survive i have to do casual labour, like washing clothes in the village and the like just to make money and buy food for me and my son.
