How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is good because I now have my oxen for plouging, my children are now enjoying the milk from the cows I bought. I have hired farm land which I will utilise come next farming season. Previously, life was not easy we did casual labor to earn a living and we had no start up point.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to buy a piece of land for cultivation, buy some goats that can reproduce in the near future and a bicycle that can ease movement for me and my family. Emergencies that arise in the family for example sickness can easily be handdled by rushing the victim to hospital since there is available means of transport.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the morning when my children wake up healthy. This gives me chance to do my activities peacefully. I don't have to worry about clearing medical bills for any one.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is lack of farm land. I do hire each time I cultivate. I have never had the opportunity to buy because I don't have money. I cultivate in small quantities and harvest less based on the limitations of space.
