Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My household is much comfortable and hospitable because I purchased nice bedding for the family. We had old mattresses which were worn out and inadequate. I could not even host any visitors at my home. The home looked deserted.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy that day when I received the cash transfer. I had very many needs which I could not afford at the time.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I purchased two mattresses worth UGX 600000 and two beds worth UGX 300000. I spent UGX 400000 to pay an old debt and UGX 102000 to buy iron sheets. The remaining cash transfer was paid as an installment on a purchase of a motorcycle.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I believe Givedirectly money will enable me build iron-roofed house for my family members. We currently stay in a congested small house with all the property. There is no freedom between me and my spouse since our children are mature. Once I build a big house ,there shall be specious acommodation for children and our property.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of the day is evening hours. Iam wondering from morning up to late in the afternoon looking for possible ways of sustaining my family needs. The only time I relax and share many family issues with my spouse is evening hours.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is lack of an income generating activity. I depend on casual labour as a means of sustaining the family members hence there is too much lacking at my home. Iam finding even a shortage of food in my family.
