How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Since I started receiving my transfer I was able to register all of my children in school compared to before and I'm saving to undertake my house project.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GD is helping us with the cash to better our lives and my family and I are very appreciative to them for the level of support.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was producing charcoal one morning when my phone give an alert that GiveDirectly has sent my transfer. Upon seeing the transfer in my inbox, I felt very happy because I needed money within that time to pay my children tuition.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
At first, life has been so hard for me. I have to farm or produce charcoal before I can afford my children school fees but with the help of GiveDirectly, I was able to pay their tuition and buy their school materials.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When I receive the cash transfer from Givedirectly, my plan is to use some of the money improve or renovate our house and used the balance get into business and use the profit on our children education. I am without a reliable source of income to enable me meet up with the basic necessities of my family. If I receive the money, I will be able to actualize my dream.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months what has brought me happiness or joy is when my 6 year old son who is living with my brother in Monrovia got promoted to the 5th grade. I was so excited and happy because if my son had stayed here with me, I wouldn't have had the financial strength to send him to school due to our financial status. My spouse do not have a reliable source of income to meet up with our basic needs.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The major challenge I am faced with is see my spouse doing hard casual job to cater for our basic needs such as food, children education, medical care and decent shelters. job which are not health friendly. I will really appreciate help from Givedirectly to enable me actualize my dream.
