Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
There was a loud noise that woke me up from bed; I jumped out with fear but rather saw people rejoicing. My trustee reached out to me with the information that my money was in the phone. I was very happy. It was the happiest day in my life.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The money brought me happiness and fulfillment. I feel glad daily knowing that I am prepared to accomplish things I had on mind but couldn't do them due to lack of money.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought eight bags of cement to plaster my house, along with ceiling and furniture to beautify the place. I bought food for my upkeep and I paid my grandchild school fees as well.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"If I receive the cash transfer, I want to build a house and send my grandchildren to school. The house I'm currently living in lacks a plastered flood and ceiling. As a result of this, I usually come down with cold during the raining season. The only school in our village is an elementary school, because of this, kids don't reach their full potential cause they are unable to gain higher education. I intend sending my grandchildren to the nearest village where there is a senior high school."
What is the happiest part of your day?
For the past 6 months, what brought me Joy was that, my daughter was bewitched with a large foot(African signed), but as God could have it,I received message that my daughter is well. So I call the herbalist who treated my daughter to thank her very much.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenge I'm facing is the health sector. I'm a very old woman, and very sickly, the is no hospital in my town to seek medical attention. I'm also suffering from typhoid and Pressure. I don't also have mattress to sleep on for the past time, because of that, I always suffered from cold.
