Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal for the next four months is to save money from the sales of my farm produce.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I paid school fees for my children in university. I depend on the casual jobs in the village and small scale farming to get an income to meet all the basic needs of the family. My children were sent home and sometimes when I had money they could be sent home and this was affecting their performances in school. I could struggle so much to get the money. I used to wake up very early in the morning and come back late at night and this was making me not bond well with my family. I cleared the school fees and this made my children to sit for the exams .I'm so happy and I have devoted much of my time to do my daily work.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in that I will have saved enough to clear all the fees on time. Because this is my priority now.

My life is currently different because we have a new house and we paid school fee for our children using the transfer we received from Give Directly.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I never had any formal employment as a parent yet I had this unending desire of giving my children quality education. There were the most difficult times of my life when I had four of my children in various secondary schools yet I did not have enough money to pay their school fee. At one point I felt my children would drop out of school and become a laughing stock in the village. I struggled as much as I could but when I felt the burden was too much a called for a fund raiser to help pay the school fees. This was the hardest part of my life but we thank God we got through the experience.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I get to have a good time with my children and my wife. I get happy when I see my family happy.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to buy a dairy cow to be reared at home. The remaining amount will be used to improve my livestock selling business.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
We are blessed as a family with seven children. I always had a desire of giving my family the best I could. With limited resources at my disposal, I struggled tooth and nail to feed my family and give my children the best in terms of education. Today, I am a proud father having educated all my seven children through secondary education and four of them have completed their university education. Nothing gives me sense of satisfaction and pride than this. I am a really proud father.
