How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I spent my first money on my children's school fees, but I've decided to use my new transfer on zinc to build myself a new house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly has brought satisfaction to us. They don't pick and choose amongst community dwellers except for those who were not around. What I know is that they are doing their best by advising us while giving us money; they don't have a bad side.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I've planned to buy 3 bundles of zinc upon withdrawing the money from my phone. I will also pay for workmanship to build my house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My husband and I used to make farm to sustain our family but since he left me with (7) children and went to his home to marry another woman, I don't have any means of making farm to provide for my child. Because of my present condition, I have to send (4) of my children to stay with some of my relatives. The one that are with me are not in school and the casual labour work I do is not enough to feed and send them to school. If I receive this money I will do business and send my children to school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
After my husband left me with (7) children I was worried about how am I going to cater to their needs as a single mother because the money we earn from the farm we make he took everything with him and I don't have any means of getting money. Some of my family members took (4) of my children to stay with them and it's has brought me so much joy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
After my husband left me with (7) children, it hasn't been easy to provide food and send my children to school. The money I earned from the casual labour work I do, is not enough to sustain my family. And I don't have any means of getting money to send my children to school.
