Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I am an ambitious person thus I work hard and maximize each opportunity that can earn me an extra income. I had seen an opportunity of starting a business in my locality since we go far to access nearby shops. Being a casual laborer, my income had been little to cater for our daily needs and remain with some to invest. I had only to settle the basic needs thus limiting my income-generating goals. Besides my casual jobs earning me little, they are scarce and can hardly be found. The biggest difference in my daily life is the business that I started using my transfers. I am so happy that my dream has been fulfilled. I am currently self-employed, have a stable source of income that earns me better than I used to and more so have more family time.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt that I was the happiest person the day I received my transfers. This was majorly contributed by the fact that my life would never be the same again after spending the money. Being a casual laborer, receiving such an amount of money meant a lot to me. I knew the money could help me to venture into my biggest dream of starting a business.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I had majorly depended on casual jobs to support my family. I had seen an opportunity to start a business in my locality since we go far to access nearby shops. With the little income from my casual jobs, my dream could not be realized since my family needs had been overwhelming. When I received my first transfer, I felt that my dream has been realized. I used KES 25000 to buy some building materials such as timber, nails, iron sheets and in paying a mason to construct a business premise in my land. Also, I spent KES25000 to buy stock to start this business and I am so happy that my prayers have been fulfilled. I am currently self-employed, earn better than I used to and more so I have more time to spend with my family. I spent the remaining amount to buy some foodstuffs for my family.
