How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed so much. When you look at me and my children you will notice that health wise, we have improved. I had no proper house or food to eat. I thought this year will be the end of us, that I and myself might die due to hunger. But the coming in of GD into the village has given me so much joy and gratitude as I am managing to feed my children throughout the day.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I was so amazed with the program. In my life, I have never heard of somebody giving you money for free with strings attached. The program was well organized.

I was very thankful and excited upon receiving the money. I knew my desires for a good home will come to pass.

I have always desired a good house and a comfortable sleeping place. This money has enabled me to build a new house and i have startwd that by buying iron sheets and other materials. I have also bought maize and clothes for me and my children.

It has been difficult to find money everyday, my husband works a labour, and he receives very little money which is not enough to sustain us each and every single day.
