In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well by giving me the money I used to buy livestock. There is nothing wrong that it has done.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed in that, I own livestock that will enable me to marry and sustain my family. Previously, I heavily depended on casual jobs that were seasonal and low paying. Therefore, I basically worked for my stomach and other needs like medical hence making it difficult for me to save to buy assets.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to buy two cows at Ugx 1200000. I hired two pieces of farm land at Ugx 200000 for a period of two years. I bought groundnuts seedlings and hired labor to plant it at Ugx 200000. I used Ugx 50000 to buy some clothing for myself. I am saving the balance of Ugx 50000 to help me in the near future weed my groundnuts gardens.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so happy and delighted the moment I received my money to my phone. I then realized that GiveDirectly did not lie to us about this transfer.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is being able hire my personal farm land that will enable me have an independent life. This is because my family has less land so, my siblings keep arguing about who is to cultivate where. My father had two wives who produced many children and most of the land was sold off to keep us in school at the time.
