What did you spend your third transfer on?
I had been longing for the construction of a better house. My former house was leaky, making our lives more difficult especially during rainy season and therefore when I received my third transfer I constructed an iron-roofed house of 35 iron sheets where we currently live more comfortably.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer because life has become easier to me-my health has improved since I succumb to less stress as compared to before when I was constantly worried where to get money to educate my children and build a better house-I have achieved all these and I am very happy and appreciative.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion what Give Directly does well is that it sends us money directly but it would consider basic income, giving us a small amount of money on a monthly basis to sustain us a little longer.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I have plans of using the transfer to construct rental houses for people to stay at a fee, I feel it's a good investment and I'll be able to get something good out of it every month.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
I am a farmer, I do rice farming and it's what I sell to pay school fees for my children. I'm so proud of late to be a single parent who just used the cash from the farm produce to cater for my child's school fee.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I have a son who has some illness that is more of mental, it's off and on and I've really used a lot on his medication bills. He cannot continue with his education because of the same issue.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I'm usually happy in the morning when I receive visitors, I believe in blessings and visitors are one.
