Before, I used to just hire other people's bulls because I never had one. Secondly, we can also afford to dress well as opposed to the past when we wore worn out clothes..

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means buying oxen that I will use to support in opening land for crop cultivation. I will sell part of the produce for paying my children's school fees and the balance will be consumed at home. Currently, I hire bulls which is very costly and even then, you will get when it is very late for the season.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is after I have finished a day's casual work. I am happy around this time because I will have got money that I will spend on solving household problems like feeding and buying scholastic materials for the children.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Lack of a stable source of income is my biggest hardship. I depend on casual labour in order to find a livelihood when agricultural produce is not able to sustain. I spend a lot of time in people's gardens which does not give me time to dig on my own land hence food shortage at the household.
