I don't have no new plan my previous plan still stand to build my house.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal now is to build a new house because my house broke down. The house I had was roof with thatched and due to the heavy storm, the entire roof started to leak and gradually the house came down.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly does extremely well by affording me the opportunity to build a house of my own. I am in fact build a better house than the previous one I had. They are professional and deals with merit in the process of selecting beneficiaries.

I spent my recent transfer on purchasing building materials such as zinc, nails and other materials needed for construction.This is because, my house broke down long time, but I never had any money to rebuild much more to talk about buying zinc.I am doing rice farming, but it's not even enough to help me out especially when the farm don't produce as expected.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was home when my grandson who is my trustee came to have me informed that GiveDirectly has sent my transfer. I felt so happy when he told me because I have been striving to build myself a house but I'm old and secondly I can not afford to cost of building a new house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My typical day before receiving my transfer has been surrendered my illness and hard work. I have to farm to sustain my children but since GiveDirectly started sending my transfer, I am more relaxed and I was also able to treat myself.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My house leaks whenever it is raining and I always worry a lot when the rain is falling. If you look at my house,you can see the condition it is in. I believe that as oer my age now, I don't need to be worrying too much. When I get this money, I will want to build a new house for myself that I will live in very comfortably and not be worrying whenever it is raining.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am a Muslim and whenever I go to the mosque to pray with my brothers, I feel very happy that I am still amongst them, despite my age. Seeing myself amongst the living and also providing food for myself, makes me very happy
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My main challenge that I am facing right now is about my house. It is a challenge for me because, for each time the rain falls and I am not home, the water wets my bed and it makes my room cold and it is affecting me. I always have to set a coal pot in my room to warm myself before I go to be because of the coldness of the room.
