How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Through this financial support, I was able to under go surgery that has saved my life. I am now recovering very well, back to my daily duties. Before receiving these transfers, I was developing prostate cancer that needed operation immediately but I didn't have enough money for surgery.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well to give me cash that facilitated the surgery I under went hence saving my life. GiveDirectly has not done anything bad on my side.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life is better now in that I have a lot of peace now because my son's health has improved since the transfers helped cater for treatment. Secondly, my son's bedding and dress code has improved because previously he slept on old mattress and had very few clothes to wear.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so happy the moment I saw a mobile money message in my phone because I did not believe I would receive it. First of all my son is on daily medication due to epilepsy conditions. I had spent a lot of money and I had reached a point of not having what to sell to seek for medication.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent the first transfer on buying a cow at UGX 660000, household items at ugx 350000, Treatment ugx 240000, Leisure 24000. I have saved 642000 that I will used for fencing and buying Turkeys.
