I spent part of my third transfer on constructing a fishing boat that I'm using for fishing. Being that previously I used to hire a fishing boat, I felt I was running at a loss and that's why I decided to own mine. I'm now happy my income has improved hence my living standard too has improved. Part of the money I used to buy a cow for rearing because I have never owned a cow. I felt it was about time I own one because it's a form of investment in that after it has given birth I'll have both additional cow and milk too.

I spent my second transfer on building an iron roofed house at 26,110 KES, used 11,280 KES to repair my motorcycle and bicycle, bought a mattress at 4,500 KES, five chickens at 1,500 KES, fishing net at 4,000 KES, then used the rest of the cash on little house items.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I now have my own house hence freely making my own decisions, unlike before when I used to stay in my brother's house. I also don't relay on other people's fishing nets as before because I have my own fishing net I get enough fish then do the fish supply with my repaired motorcycle hence good income. I spent the transfer on buying 10 bags of seedlings 5000 KES, paid for farming labor 4000 KES and used 1000 KES on daily meals.

The moment when i received the transfer i was really happy for in our familly being fishermen we did not have good income because of the long drought but the money enabled us buy the things we needed urgently.
