What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
We bought a land for $300 because we needed a land to cultivate, we had a house only without any land that's why we chose to buy it. we also bought roofings for building our kitchen that costs us $70 and health insurance for our household of $12 and we also bought food of $5
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
We did't have land to cultivate but now we have land and we are so grateful for that. Everything was good and GD should keep doing that.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
We hope to buy livestock like cow and pigs so that we can get money form them that will help us in our daily lives

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The main challenge we are facing is hunger, we don't have enough food at home. Food deficit is mainly caused by the fact that we don't have land for agriculture. In order to get some food stuffs such as beans, cassava and sweet potatoes, we have to go to cultivate for others. Sometimes my kid go at school with an empty stomach and when I have not yet paid lunch for him school it becomes a big issue for us.
What is the happiest part of your day?
When we have something to eat at home we feel happy. Let's say when we have cultivated for others and they give us money we feel happy because the money help us to buy some food stuffs and give contribution to our community saving scheme.
What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
The first thing we are planning is to buy land for agriculture activities so that we can have somewhere we can grow our own food crops and that will help us to resolve the problem of hunger in our home. The land will cost $200. The other thing is to buy small livestock like sheep. The benefit of buying that sheep is that it will give birth to other many that will be sold in order to get money when needed. The sheep will cost $50. We will have also to build a kitchen as you have seen we cook inside in the room and the smoke is really a big issue. The kitchen construction will cost $50. After those activities we will have to solve other daily needs as the days go by.
