How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, my life is different from how it was because I am not stressed about how to pay the school fees arrears for my two children. I have been relying on the profits of my grocery business and the wages of my spouse from the causal works he does under the house construction department. They have never been enough to cater to my needs. I am glad that I managed to take care of my children's school fees on time and now it is not a bother using GiveDirectly's transfers. Of late they have not been sent home like before.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to focus on buying building materials that will facilitate the construction of a spacious decent house in my homestead. I have felt the pressure of our customary laws that requires us to move from the small house we constructed after setting our homestead. I know once I have completed this will relieve me of the burden and open up chances for other goals in my life.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
My household's daily basic needs has not been easy to cater to because of the meager income with the high cost of living. The biggest difference in my daily life is the fact that I have been able to pay school fees for my son who is in high school on time. I have also bought iron sheets, nails, and timbers which has seen me through towards renovating my pit latrine and it is now hygienic to use. This has lead to a high reduction of fecal-oral related diseases in my homestead. Thanks to GiveDirectly.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation for the next six months is to have bought the required building materials that will be used in the construction of a decent spacious house in my homestead that I have always dreamed of. Once it has actualized it will open up chances for other goals in my life.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest is that I have a permanent toilet that most people don't have in my village. Before we used to go to the bush to release ourselves which is not hygienic. We could risk getting water born disease. Sometime we could go to the neighbour's toilet and they were not happy at times, they could force us away and the only option was to go to release yourself in the bush. I am so grateful I have a good permanent toilet in my compound.
