At first, I was really planning to build my house. But, I couldn't afford money to build house and pay children school fees. But through give directly transfer, I am able to do them. I am so happy for the improvement.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Bendu, I was very happy when I saw the message in my phone saying I have received transfer from Give Directly.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Before Give Directly came, things have been very difficult. Getting food for my family, getting children school fees and medication have been my challenges. But now, I'm able to get food andpày children school fees easily. I will be able to build a house of my own.

With the transfer, I was able to buy two (2) bundle of zinc, paid my children school fees and food for my children.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I intend to start a small business if I am bless to receive the money, and pay my children school fees too. If I start a business, it will help me with enough money to provide other important things for my children such as clothes, pay hospital bills and support them in school. I am a disabled person who doesn't do hard work like other people. Right now, things not easy on us because people have to allow go to their old spot after they harvest their farm for me to get what ever is left for me and my children.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What makes me happy is when few months back we were blessed with food items by the town people during the celebration of Ramadan or El Mubarak. We didn't have anything to depend on when we received the gift. I barely slept that night, but spent the night in tears.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The major challenge right now that I have is that I am a disabled person with a hunchback and cannot do any hard work to support me and my children. To even get school fees for them people have to help me. Sometimes my mother help us with food, other times the town people help too. This has made it very hard for any of my children to go to school because I don't have money or anyone to work for me. My children father abandoned us for the past six months and took another woman for himself. He don't even care to know if his children can eat or not.
