How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has improved in that, I have acquired an ox that has eased my agriculture. Secondly, I am in the process of constructing a separate house for my children. Before receiving this money, I didn't have hope of constructing another house and buying an ox due to limited funds.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well to give me cash that has enabled me acquire an ox and construct a house for my children. GiveDirectly has done only well in my side.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest different in my daily life is peace and happiness because I can plough at anytime I wish to because I now have two bulls. I have managed to clear my debt burden which held me captive for a very long time. In addition to that, I have my solar system which lights up my home like electricity. Finally I managed to add groundnut seeds since the ones I had were not enough therefore this planting season will yield me a good harvest that I will consume part and spare part for next planting season.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When my phone vibrated, I woke up in the middle of the night becuase it was around midnight. I checked my phone to see what kind a message it was, on seeing it was GD transfers. I was overwhelmed with joy, happiness and laughter. After jubilating I thanked God almight and GD together with her employees for the assistance.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my transfer, I bought a bull that I will use for ploughing since I only had one which couldn't plough alone therefore there was need to add one. Previously I could pair with a neighbour but this delayed my farming activities since we ploughed in shifts. When pairing failed I could hire labour which was too costly. I bought a solar system for lighting, prior to getting a solar, I could buy dry cells and tie them together as a source of light but it could not last for long meaning that I spent a lot of money in that practice. I bought two pieces of iron sheets that I will use to replace the rusted iron sheets. I had borrowed some money for paying school fees for my child and used my plot of land as security and when I got this money, I paid of my debt and reclaimed my land. The remaining money I used for buy seeds of groundnuts which I have already planted.
