How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have had no other goal with the exception of building myself a new house. My only goal have been to build a new big house for the accommodation of my family and I. The previous house that I was staying in with my family broke down. This led me to build smaller house as a impact project to just stay for that moment of time until I am able to raise money to build a new house. Fortunately for me, I was placed on the GiveDirectly cash transfer program. My first transfer spend purposely on my children's tuitions because they were thrown out of school because of tuitions. When I receive my second and third transfers, I planned to save it and add it to my last transfer for the construction of my house. I am so much happy because of what GiveDirectly have done for me and my family. Through the help of GiveDirectly unconditional cash transfer for the poor people which I am a beneficiary, I will be able to have my family in a decent house that will accommodate us in the future.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?

Through the financial help from GiveDirectly, I am now having smile on my face and my family is also happy. I just want to thank GiveDirectly for such great opportunity given me. It would have taken me almost my whole life to earn such amount of money. I am so grateful for this financial aid.

I am so much happy because of what GiveDirectly have done for me and my family. How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have a new goal and it is to build a new house. The house that I live in with my family is too small. It is a two room house My four children and l sleep in the same room. And I am tired of living like this. So, I am very thankful of receiving cash transfer from GiveDirectly to fufil this embarrassing life of sleeping in the same room with my children.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has not done anything unwell that I know about. This organisation has done so much well for us. Like me, poor as I am, I didn't expect to have received such a cash. Because I had nowhere to even think of getting it from. It is through GiveDirectly that I am able to think of building a decent and spacious house for my family and I.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Now, I have not spend my second transfer. Because I do not want to use it on something else. I am saving it along with the remaining two transfers that I am expecting to received. My plan is to build a three rooms house with an indoor sitting place.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
A lot of difference is happening in my daily life, since I have started receiving money from GiveDirectly. My husband and I didn't had money now to pay for our children education and to even thinking of building a house. So I feel so happy in my body that the burden of getting money to pay for my children educations is over.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have paid my two children school fees and the balance will be spend on molding dirt brakes for the construction a new house. I live with my husband and we have five children. Two of them (children) are going to school. My husband and I find it difficult to pay for our children education. It is a one of our big challenge. Receiving this payment has brought so much relief on us (husband and I). We were able to pay their tuitions.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
It is my hope that when I am selected by GiveDirectly, whatever money I get, I will ensure my house is built since I have already mold my blocks. Additionally, I will start a business that will help me continue to support my children in school and provide their needs.
What is the happiest part of your day?
For over the fast 6months, I have not seen really what to make me happy. But all that I can say is to give thanks to God that he has directed GiveDirectly to our town. But really, I have not been happy especially when my one of my sons left in the water after successfully passing to the 9th grade class.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Some of my major challenges is catering to my children schooling and to establish small business that when I am burdened, I can use some of the money to solve those other secondary problems. Another is my house business. These are the major challenges I am currently faced with in this community.
