How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I now will have a house with iron sheets which will be very different from the grass house I used to own. I nolonger sleep on an empty sack I am sleeping on a good bed and mattress
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
According to my observation there is nothing that GiveDirectly did not do well as things were promised in the same manner they were carried out.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used the money to buy bricks and frames for both widows and doors for the new house that I plan to build. I have also bought poles that should be used for the roof. The remaining money I have kept it aside so that I can pay the builder when the constructions start.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
the moment i received my transfer i was very excited because i knew i will have a decent house and enough food for my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
i used to do piece works in order to find food for my family. i never spent a lot of time at home with my family because everyday i had to find food for my family, and if i don't find food for that day we could sleep on an empty stomach. when i received the transfer i bought enough food for my family and i don't have to do piece works anymore which has given me an opportunity to concentrate on my own activities.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
When i received my transfer i bought iron sheets, i used to stay in a grass thatched house and during rainy season it was heavily leaking and it was my dream to have a new roof. secondly i bought food since i did not have food at home and i used to do piece works in order to find food at home. the remaining amount was used to buy mattress, fertilizer and other basic needs.
