I spent 10000 KES of my second transfer on paying for my grandchild's college fee. I paid a deposit of 30000 KES for a piece of land I bought and used the rest of the money on buying food for my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is having bought a piece of land, I now feel more independent. My orphaned grandchild too has joined college therefore I feel relieved and I'm no longer worried of how to raise her fee.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on buying high breed maize seeds which I planted on my farm and later paid some casual laborers who assisted me during weeding of the farm. I also bought some corn which we are using for our feeding.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was on my way home from a funeral that I had attended when I received the money I almost got out of the vehicle while it was moving due to the excitement and joy that I was feeling at that time.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face right now is lack of enough money to adequately feed my large family. The price of foodstuff keeps rising every day and with my limited finances I cannot be able to adequately feed my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I am cooking something apart from vegetables for my family. This is because we often eat vegetables alot and whenever we get some meat to eat I am always very happy.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that my granddaughter will finally be able to get a college education because I will pay tuition fees for her.
