How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The greatest achievement is that I constructed a permanent house with the cash transfers. In my entire life I had no hopes of ever constructing a permanent house. Not withstanding this, GiveDirectly has empowered me fulfil this dream.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has so far done only great things through their charitable act. They sent money directly to the needy to spend openly without conditions.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I purchased iron sheets, timber, door for completing the house.

The moment I saw the message when my phone rung, I became so happy because this transfer will enable me construct a permanent house. I was so happy because I knew I'm going to construct iron roofed house and I will no longer have to suffer sleeping in a leaky grass thatched house.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent the whole of my transfer to construct a house because the one I'm occupying currently leaks. When it rains, everything in the house gets damaged. When I got my first transfer I decided to spent the whole of it ( UGX 1700000) on house construction.
