How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different from how it would have been four months ago in that I no longer go for casual work. Casual work was the main source of income I had in life, without it, I would not be able to meet any need I had. Since I started receiving these transfers, I have stopped going for casual work which is a very big improvement in my life. I don't struggle financially as before. Thanks to GD.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to start a retail shop business. This will help me sustain myself financially and help me meet my needs in time with ease. It will always be my main source of income.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving these transfers is that I was able to help my mother build a new kitchen. As a daughter, we have been sleeping at our neighbor's house because we could not be accommodated all of us in our house. My mother had always tried to raise money to build a new kitchen where we would all sleep but due to low income from casual work, we could not. We have always had to risk our lives by walking at night to find a place to sleep. This is why I have been giving my mother part of my transfers to help her in buying building materials for building a kitchen where we could as well spend in. I am glad we have an iron-roofed kitchen which also provides our privacy. We feel very comfortable now.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My life will be different in the next six month in that I will be having a business. I am determined to start the business because I know through it my financial life will be much better as compared to now. I would want to use this opportunity given to me by GD to change my life completely.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from the way it was four months ago in that I'm no longer in debts as it used to be the case before. This is because I have been able to plan well with the transfers that I have been receiving from GD.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Currently, I do not have any source of income instead I rely on washing people's clothes for survival. For the next four months of my life, I have a goal of searching for employment so that I'll be able to afford all my baby's needs.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
We have a large family, unfortunately, we all do not have a reliable source of income instead we rely on casual work which is not well paying. It hasn't been easy to afford the basic needs like a full day's meal including school fee for the school going children. I'm glad so grateful to GD because we have been able to purchase enough foodstuffs every month whenever we receive our transfers. This has given us an easy time when it comes to meeting basic needs.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In case I fail to secure reliable employment in the next four months then I'll start saving some cash so that in six months time I'll have opened a retail shop.

My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that, I am able to chip in terms of food in our family. Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Staying out of school for even two weeks due to lack of money was just normal. My parents were not able to pay school fees on time because the little that they could get could go towards food and other needs. I had to miss exams a few times and struggle to catch up with the syllabus because my classmates had gone ahead. This was really hard but when I started getting payment from GiveDirectly, I was able to pay and in fact cleared school fees hence settle well in school. Thanks to GiveDireclty. This is so far the biggest difference that I have experienced in the last four months.
