Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was so happy and very thankful such that on that day I danced a lot.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I feel like the biggest difference is that I am able to provide enough food for the entire household..Also, I will be able to own a house with iron sheets.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Much of my frist cash transfer was spent on purchasing building materials since I am planning on renovating my house. So I bought 20 iron sheets and cement. I then bought 5 bags of maize and a big mattress since I didn't have any..Lastly, I bought kitchen utensils such as basins and pails and kept the remaining cash for household needs.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
The money will meant alot in my life and the life of my family. I am planning to use the money to buy a piece of land in Mickey and to settle there. This part of the village is constantly being affected by drought and shortage of rain. The soil here is not fertile and it needs more fertiliser than with other part of the village. Due to that, my house has never harvested enough food and money that we make, it all goes to buying food.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am mostly happy in the morning.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship I have faced is lack of opportunity to be employed. My husband is a primary school teacher by profession but ever since he graduated, he has not been posted to his work station. Now it's over a year. We have been admiring people who have a small business but we could not manage to have one due to luck of capital
