Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so good and relieved when I received my transfer. I was in dire poverty and the money brought joy. The moment when I received my transfer is unforgettable.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I thank GD because I have managed to buy a mattress and currently building a house. I am now sleeping on a comfortable place than before. I also have clothes and I always look good when I take a bath. I couldn't have bought all these things without GD. Yes I have been doing piece works but I never raised such amount of money.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have been struggling with hunger before the transfer. When I received my transfer, I bought 4 bags of maize for food processing. I am also building a house. I also bought a mattress which cost MK 30000. I also bought a blanket and bedsheets. I also used the money to buy clothes for my entire family.

The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon because that is when I find time to relax.

One of the biggest hardship I have faced is not being to find enough money to support my family. I mostly rely on piece works and I only have a small piece of land where I farm maize.
